During my days cashiering in college (aka four months ago), I had a practice of asking customers a daily random question. I’d write the question on a paper plate (pictured), and ask away! It was a fun way to get to know people, and it filled the gap as I waited for the credit card reader to do its thing.
Now, I’d like to ask a daily question on WordPress, and get to know people here.
(And, you’ll have the advantage of having more than 15 seconds to respond 😉)

1. If you had a weather show, what would you call it?
2. Which inanimate object would you interview?
3. Which famous singer would you do karaoke with?

Oh, I’m excited to see these back! Let’s see . . .
1. I have no idea, because I have zero creativity when it comes to titles, puns, etc. Although I’m genuinely curious how people would react to a (generally intelligent and well-received) program just called The Weather Show. Would they see it for the lazy lack of creativity that it was? Would they think it was an arrogant attempt to claim that my show was THE Definitive Whether Show? Might they interpret it as some sort of reactionary commentary against how society puts too much weight on branding as opposed to the quality of the substance? Or would they come up with other theories to explain the secret meanings of the apparently bland title?
2. Oh, definitely a book—an original manuscript written by the author’s hand if possible. I’d have endless questions about the author’s experience of writing them, the author’s muttered comments that might give insight into the story they penned, what it was like for the book to feel the story unfold, reform, and transform within them, whether they are proud, ashamed, or indifferent to the words they bear, the various responses readers have had to them throughout the years . . .
3. Not to be boring, but no one. I cannot think of anyone who would make it feel worthwhile to stand on a stage and sing in front of other human beings :’)
4. My answer to this would change depending on the day, but at the present I’m going to say George Eliot (a female Victorian author who wrote under a male pseudonym).
5. In secret. Secrecy is necessary in some instances—particularly when those meeting are well-known and don’t wish to be seen together—but presuming I was as unknown as I actually am, secrecy would only breed suspicious. But in some relatively secluded but open place, we could always pass off our meetings as political theorizing, planning for the book we dream of writing together, etc., and I’d like to think people would believe us, because if we were actually plotting something we’d never have let them see/hear anything, right?

I especially liked what you said about The Weather Show, and my mom TOTALLY agrees on the karaoke thing.
