Kindred

I go and prepare a place for you.

Go from your country

and your kindred

and your father’s house

to the land I will show you

Can a mother forget the baby at her breast?

Though she forget, I will not forget you.

Know for certain

that your offspring will be sojourners

in a land not their own.

I go and prepare a place for you.

Make straight the paths of the Lord.

I will make you forget your toil

and all your father’s house.

Though he forget, I will not forget you.

In your offspring shall all the nations

of the earth be blessed

Though they forget, I will not forget you.

In My Father’s house are many rooms

All the nations… blessed

I go and prepare a place for you.

Hi, there! My name is Stephanie and I’m a Fresno, CA native. After studying at Biola University, I received my MLIS (Masters in Library Science) from San Jose State University. I live with my mom, poet Kimberly Vargas Agnese, and serve as her unofficial agent. We reside at MeadowArc, a food forest in its infancy. I am called to, and passionate about, purity. In fact, the name Agnes means “pure.” Before I was born, my mom felt led to include the name Agnes in her name, and in the names of her children. My full, hyphenated name includes 26 letters (but not the whole alphabet).
